"Keep your eyes on the music." -- J. Mills

"It seems tedious at times to sit down and practice for over ten minutes at a time. I like to practice individual exercises for short periods of time. It keeps my concentration up and frustration down." -- J. Brownstein.

"Learn the measure you're working on. Then back up to the measure before it and put them together. Keep doing this until you're at the beginning of the piece."
-- B. Reith

THE THREE GOLDEN RULES OF PRACTICING -J. Lauckhardt

1) Practice your scales and exercises as boring as
they may be, they help in the long run,

2) Practice in small clumps, no 2 hour straight practices,
you may go insane.

3) Don't put practicing off because you will end up not doing it,
which isn't fun for you or your teacher.
